Patrick popped a balloon from Rick and I and out fell our gift of a $1000 bill! It was exciting and fun. Elaine Waddell was Patrick’s girlfriend at the time. His birthday card, a caricature designed by Gary Reynolds, was also depicted on his cake. It showed Patrick wearing his brown signature hat and carrying a computer. He still has the hat, 12 years later, and has built and owned many computers since then. Yes, I am a proud Mom.
